Ladybug! Ladybug! Fat, Little Ladybug!

You ever have one of those days that things come in threes?  Well, today was one of those days for me.  I'm not gonna tell you what it was that happened three times.....yet.  First, let me show you what I created today.  I decided to try something different.  See if you can guess what I made these from.

Ain't she purty!!

And so happy looking.

This one is without antennas.  Not sure if I like it antennaless, after seeing the first one.

If you're wondering, I have them placed between my bearded iris's.  They don't have any blooms yet, so it looks sort of like a jungle.

Have you guessed yet what they are made of?  If I didn't know already, I would have guessed a small ball of some sort.

But no.....

Not a ball.......

It's a lightbulb, silly!

So of course my three things in a row was light bulbs blowing.  Instead of just throwing them away, I pondered a way to recycle them.  The decoration in my flower garden was just bonus!  You can bet that I will be on the lookout for more blown bulbs!

I like the blue one best even though the red is more natural.  What do you think?  Can you think of other insect/bug/creatures that can be painted on a lightbulb?  I would love to hear your ideas.

Til next time, have fun!
