To Kill A Likening Review

TO KILL A LIKENING

By M.K. Hunt

What if you’re a first time writer on a job that was almost impossible to get, and a disaster if you lose it. What if another employee appears who is ‘different’, maybe strange, maybe worse!! Fate can hand you some really scary times, times when you begin to worry if you will ever come through it, and some terrorizing moments when you know you won’t. It gets even worse, ...what if you've just found the best reason to live that you've ever known in your life? Now, you've got everything to gain, and everything to lose. A fast paced romance suspense novel that will deny you sleep until you’re at the very tip end.

***MY HONEST REVIEW OF TO KILL A LIKENING***

Sarah is a screenplay writer who has hit rock bottom and is desperate for a contract. When her agent secures one, to her dismay, she has to rewrite a big portion of her finished script. And on top of that, she has to take on a writing partner named Ryan. When Ryan shows psychotic behavior toward her, she tries to stay away from him but it is too late. He seems to have attached himself to her and his behavior gets even worse.

In my eyes, this was not a very believable story. As twisted as Ryan was, he shouldn’t have lasted as long as he did. I don’t know why the script was not discussed. I would like to have at least known what it was about. I think there should have been discussion of the changes in the rewrite. The hookup between Sarah and Zack just didn’t click with me at all. The chemistry just wasn’t there. There was no character development at all. I believe this could be an entertaining story with a bit more details added in.
