Severed Threads Review

Severed Threads

By Kaylin McFarren

This sizzling romantic adventure is not only made for the Big Screen, but will have romantic lovers craving for more! This First book in a series is a gem in itself as the author creates a suspenseful love story that's packed with action, genuine characters, and is rich in history. Kaylin McFarren's expertise in traveling the world to exotic places, combined with her interest in treasure seekers, and her fascination with the under-sea world shines through in her unique writing style. "SEVERED THREADS" is as entertaining as THE BODY GUARD, as thrilling as PRESUMED INNOCENT, and as clever as BASIC INSTINCT. Highly recommended to all romantic suspense lovers! * GERI AHEARNS, Book Reviews

***MY HONEST REVIEW OF Severed Threads***

When Rachel’s dad died during a diving expedition, she cut all ties to his diving partner Chase Cohen, who left town with no explanation. Now, four years later, Chase is hot on the trail of a 400-year-old sunken ship, and needs a grant approved from the foundation that Rachel works for. She initially refuses to help him, until her brother Devon is kidnapped, and she is the only one who can save him. But as they get closer to finding the treasure trove, they meet danger at every turn.

This was a true mystery. I didn’t know who to trust, and where the twists were going to take me. To me, everyone was suspicious. I enjoyed getting to know most of the characters as their personalities evolved. Loving the water, I could imagine each fish and ocean scenery as it was described. Also the author did a fantastic job of relaying the excitement of the adventure, as well as the danger.

About the Author

Kaylin McFarren
Kaylin McFarren is a rare bird indeed. Not a migratory sort, she prefers to hug the West Coast and keep family within visiting range. Although she has virtually been around the world, she was born in California, relocated with her family to Washington, and nested with her husband in Oregon. In addition to playing an active role in his business endeavors, she has been involved in all aspects of their three daughters' lives - taxi duties, cheerleading coaching, script rehearsals, and relationship counseling, to name but a few. Now she enjoys spending undisciplined time with her two young grandsons and hopes to have many more.
