On The Map

Have you seen this?

I just discovered it  here.  It's a blog directory map.  How cool is that!  There are a few rules to follow to be listed, but they're the usual ones.  And you should see how many are listed on the map.  Boocoodles.

Anywho, I thought it was interesting and signed up.  Hope to see you there.  :)

Link Corrections

If you read my last posting and followed the links, you found out that two of the links were wrong.  If you have not read the post yet, you can read it here.  I have tried for two days to correct the links but for some reason, it won't take.  If I change them, then I cannot resave.  I have tried over and over again.  It has baffled me.  I still don't know why the links came out wrong.  I know I put them in right.

So, to be fair to these two people, Laura and Heather, I am reposting their links.  Please give them some love and visit them.

Laura at Adventures In The Lake Country
Heather at Keep The Faith And Love

Laura and Heather, I am so sorry for this.  I'm sending {hugs} and {kisses} your way.

Another Award!

Well, it seems that I have been nominated for another award .  This time, it's the Versatile Blogger Award.   Rena of Revamp Spunky Rena nominated me.  Thank you Rena!  You're the best!  In researching this award, I found this site. I didn't get much from it but I am listing it if anyone else is interested in the info.

The rules to follow to accept the nomination are:
  1. Nominate 15 fellow bloggers who are relatively new to blogging.
  2. Let the nominated bloggers know that they have been nominated for this award.
  3. Share 7 random facts about yourself
  4. Thank the blogger who has nominated you.
  5. Add the Versatile Blogger Award picture to your post.
Here are my random facts in random order :)
  • I've given blood two times in my life and got sick both times.
  • I sang in choir in high school.
  • I'm a lefty and proud of it.
  • I went to Canada once on vacation and didn't get cold until I got back home in Mississippi.
  • I can't decide if my favorite ice cream flavor is black walnut or butter pecan (kinda leanin toward the latter).
  • I'm not tickleish.
  • I can easily get the cryin', bellyroll, uncontrollable giggles over NOTHING.

My 15 nominees (also in random order) are:

Brittany of Oh Hey Brittany
Nicole of Three 31

Ashley of Ashley Everyday
Brittney of The Sweet Life

You may notice a theme with my selections.  They all are members of  the Southern Bloggers, me included.  Another distinguishing factor is that we all started blogging in 2012.  Can't get much newer than that!

Congratulations ladies.  I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Us sutherns' gotta stick together!  Glad to have ya aboard.

Rainy Day

I'm back.  I finally finished the blog hop.   I hope all of you visited a few of the sites too.  We gotta help each other out as much as we can. And make a few new friends along the way.

The weather outside is brutal at the moment.  I was going to show you the new flowers blooming in my garden but I couldn't get out to take pretty pictures of them.  So instead, you get dreary, stormy, dark and blurry glimpses of the garden.

Part of these are yellow daylilies that I planted.  In fact, I posted a pic of it blooming here.  The tall daisy  looking one though I didn't plant.  I actually spilled bird seed and this came up.  If you look to the left of it, you will see what looks like corn stalks growing.  That too was bird seed.

This is the other end of the flower bed.  It's hard to tell but those stepping stones are under water.  You can see the water splashing in the buckets.  It's really pouring down right now.  But on the bright side, aren't the stones so vibrant.

This is to the left of the daylily.  These stones are also underwater.

This is the far right, at the edge, and the deepest spot.  The yellow you see there is also a stepping stone.
It's the blue and yellow butterfly one.  You can see it here.  Boy, those buckets are really splashing now.

And this is to the far left.  This is a high spot so it's not underwater so much.  There's ladybug and turtle. If  you look close, you will see my little snake standing guard.  He  moves around alot.    I never know where he'll show up next. :)

So there you have it.  No sun, just rain, rain, rain.  I'm not complaining though, it's needed badly.

What's it looking like outside your door?  See you soon.

Don't Forget Me

Hey friends.  Just a quick note to let you know that I haven't forgotten you.  If you read my last post, you know that there was a Blogaholic SN July blog hop going on.  Well, would you believe that I have only gotten half way through visiting all the signups?  It's true.

Now don't think I've been lazy, or just ignoring everything.  I have been working on them every single day.  If you have been with me for some time, you know that I have a dinosaur dialup internet connection.  Plus my 1998 top-of-the-line Dell is now a bottom-of-the-heap get by with.  It takes me about an hour (or more) to visit each blog, read the latest post, sign up to follow it, and then leave a comment.  And that doesn't even count if I linger awhile longer exploring.

So, didn't want you to forget about me!  I'll be back soon with another post.  Promise.  In the meantime, before you leave, would you please click on my picketfence icon.  This gives me a vote, and moves me up the line a little more.  Thanks so much....

Til next time, have fun!
