If I won this I would totally have it personalized for my daughter for her birthday. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. Thanks for entering.
DeleteWe gave my parents a weekend getaway in a Bed & Breakfast-they ended up creating a great friendship with the owners because of the trip
ReplyDeleteWow, that's great. Maybe your kids will do the same.
DeleteAwesome giveaway! I would love that to put a picture of my daughter.
ReplyDeleteMichelle F.
I know, right? I think its pretty too. Thanks Michelle.
DeleteI gave my daughter a promise ring when she graduated from high school.
ReplyDeleteI bet she still has it too, huh?
DeleteWell I made my daughter a scrapbook of her first 12 years--she hasn't got it yet her birthday is in May. Might not mean too much to her now but I know I am brought to tears looking back at how fast she's grown up! It might mean more to her when she's older too.
ReplyDeleteI bet she surprises you and treasures it now (when she gets it). That would be awesome, right?
DeleteI think things that are homemade are best. The kids and I made my hubby (their father) a stretched canvas picture. But it wasn't canvas, it was paper. We put all the kids hand prints on (fun with a 1 year old with paint) and we put some words using stencils. He hung it up in a high trafficked area for all to see!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the opportunity!
You're right Lisa. I'm sure he's as proud of it as you are.
DeleteWhen my hubby retired the secretary wanted to know what he would like. I thought for a couple of weeks and played at work on the computer, slow time of year. Then I found a great deal for a flight to Alaska and I knew that was it, he always talked about wanting to go there. I called and I paid until she collected everything. At his retirement party this was the first time most people had seen him cry he was thrilled. Because the deal was so awesome they also gave him $1,000 spending money. We had an awesome trip.
ReplyDeleteThat's a once in a lifetime gift. I'm so glad you were able to help do this for him. That's awesome. My hubby and I are dying to take an Alaskan cruise. Maybe some day!
DeleteFor my daughters' birthdays I always ask them what type of cake they want and I make it for them as my fun gift to them. One year was a castle cake, this year was a rainbow unicorn cake, etc etc. It takes a lot of preparation and thinking to construct these! I also create a scrapbook to give them for every holiday and vacation!
ReplyDeleteThat's very thoughtful. Thanks Alee.
