Rebirth (John Taylor Book 1)
By Travis Starnes
John Taylor walked out of the desert a different man than he was going in. After three years of torture Taylor is now an ex-soldier with a life in shambles facing a world that gave him up for dead and moved on in his absence.
Taylor is forced to pick up the pieces when he steps in to help an outgunned Federal Marshal against unknown assailants. Now Taylor is on the run and saddled with a witness marked for death.
Can saving the witness's life give Taylor back his own?

MY REVIEW OF Rebirth
When John
Taylor completes his physical therapy for injuries he sustained in Afghanistan,
he finds himself ousted from the military with nowhere to go. While walking
around wondering what he was going to do, he stumbles upon and gets involved
with a shootout. He then finds himself on the run with a witness in tow, trying
to stay one step ahead of the Russian mafia, as well as the FBI, at least until
he can ascertain how far up the corruption goes.
I loved the
plot, the characters, and the entire storyline of the book. The way it is told
helped me to grasp the full depth of the main character. His personality was
such that he never compromised. I liked how he continually emitted humor, even
in the midst of the seriousness of the situation. John Taylor has quickly
become my favorite character, and I hope he has more adventures to come.
