MY REVIEW

When Kal Medi discovers her mother is missing, she somehow feels that it has something to do with her father’s death. For many years now, Kal’s mother Alesha, and her grandmother, had both been occasionally getting threatening letters but never discussed them with Kal, even after she became an adult. Now, the only clue to Alesha’s disappearance is a recent letter that was left behind in Alesha’s apartment. It will take every skill that Kal has learned to track Alesha’s kidnappers and extract her own form of vengeance.

I liked the way the game of cat and mouse was played throughout the story. But I didn’t understand how Kal, as disciplined as she was, could lose control and go against all her training. To me, that was an oddity to her character. All in all, this was an enthralling thriller with characters worthy of their part.
