Snowflake

I have a snowflake for you to see.

I know the picture is a bit blurred, but this is the best I could get it to take.  (Hint to Santa:  I need a new camera.  Pleasssee.)

I got the pattern off the internet.  This started as 6 square pieces of paper.  You cut slits in them and curl half around to the front, and half to the back.  Has anybody tried this?  As you can see, my curls would not stay together no matter how many times I redid them.

I'm gonna try a couple more to see if I can do any better.  If not, I won't be making these.  I just thought they would be pretty hanging from the ceiling as decorations.

Anyone have any suggestions or tips to help me on the next ones?  I would love to hear them.

I WON!! I WON!! I WON!!

Hey peeps.  Can you tell I'm excited??  Melissa at Handwork Chronicles was having a 1 year anniversary giveaway, and I won one of the prizes.  She was celebrating the first year anniversary of  her Etsy shop Paper and Present.

Just look at some of what I get to choose from.

Mini hand-stained clothespins, 25 teal green  Mini hand stained clothespins
Washi tape, solid CHARTREUSE  Washi Tape
45-yard assortment of Twinery cotton baker's twine  Bakers Twine

Also bags, boxes, tissue paper, tags, ribbon, doilies, stickers, {takes breath} envelopes, twist ties, etc., etc., etc.  There are polka dots, chevron, stripes, and graph patterns. And it all comes in any color you can imagine.  By the way, the twine is on sale this week.

If you have never visited this Etsy shop, I highly recommend going and seeing all the "purty thangs" she has to offer.  And if you want to read Melissa's post announcing the winners, go to Handwork Chronicles.

Now come's the hard part, choosing.  I'm sooo HAPPY!!

Til next time, have fun!
