MY REVIEW
It had been too
many years since Cleota could call her life her own. She had left teaching and
entered an abusive marriage while still young. Although she outlived her
husband, she still endured her two grown stepsons’ abuse. That ended though,
the day after she found an obscene amount of money hidden for decades in the
floor of her house. Cleota immediately devised a plan to travel to London,
spreading cheer to deserving people all along the way. But what she gains from
the experience is so much more than she could ever dream.
This was
another awesome read from Meshal. She knows how to draw every emotion possible
from you in her stories. I loved Cleota’s spunk and how each character that
entered her life had meaning. I would have been happy if this story had
continued forever without ending.
