Was 2012 A Lucky One?

2013!!!  Another year older, another year wiser.  I know I'm older, I don't know about wiser.  I'd like to think so. 

Are you lucky?  By that I mean do you win things often?  Do you win at all?  I'm usually closer to the unlucky side of the scale.  One of my sons however is very lucky.  He used to win stuff all the time.  It started when he was, oh I don't know, about 7 or 8.  He won a bicycle from Wendy's.  That's the biggest prize he has won, the rest have been small nicknack things.

Well, last year was a good year for me to be lucky.  In the middle of my blog surfing, I was finding so many things to enter to win.  Don't get me wrong.  I lost most of the time, but I won way more than I ever expected to win.  I thought I would show you some of my prizes.  I wish I had taken pictures as I received each item, but I didn't realize that I might do a post about it. Duh, stoopy me.

A $10.00 gift certificate from Honey of Honeys Quilling, to be used at her etsy shop, Honey's Hive.  I chose a pair of  Purple Rose Cabochon Earrings.  They were on sale at half price...lucky me!  And just in time to give them to my daughter for her birthday.  She loved them.

A $50.00 credit to be used at Wholeport.  You can read about it on their blog here.  I chose 5 yards total of Chiffon and Satin fabrics in purple, blue and burgandy colors, a paper craft tool set, and a 3 pack mini plier set.

Liebster Award

Well, I'm happy to say that I was nominated for the Liebster Blog Award by Karri at My Life's A Treasure.  Now to be honest, I had never heard of this award.  So I Googled it and got tons of hits from other blogs that had received it.  I don't feel so special anymore. :(

Seriously though, the Liebster Blog Award is given to up and coming bloggers with less than 200 followers.  I would guess that it was created to boost followers for small bloggers.  Sounds like a smart idea!

Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome.

OK, my random facts:

   1.  At 50, I went back to school for a year and earned 2 degrees - Medical Administrative Assistant and Accounting Assistant. (But now I just blog-go figure.)
   2.  I've been in Tennessee for 4 years now and love it but miss Mississippi every day.  It will always be home.
   3.  I was the only one out of 6 siblings that never failed a grade and graduated high school at 17 years old.
   4.  I was a Casino Pit Supervisor for 5 years.
   5.  I love cats but don't own any.

Wow, that was actually hard.
