Award Time....Again

I have been chosen to receive another award. How great is this?

Wow!!  I want to thank all the little people who helped me get here.  I could not have done it without you.  And the Lord Almighty.  Without his help, I would be nothing.  I would also like to thank my Mother, my 9th grade pre-algebra teacher.  And I can't forget my husband, and my children, and my grandchildren.  Oh, there are so many others I need to name but right now their names escape me...........

 

This is as close as I'll ever get to an Oscar so what the heck.  I can act with the best of 'em.

This will be the second Liebster Award that I have received.  I was first given it last July  You can read about it here. Apparently, the rules have changed a bit since then.  Here are the updated ground rules:

2. Answer eleven questions posted by the presenter, ask your nominees eleven questions, and list eleven random facts about yourself.

Here are the questions Mark posed along with my answers:

1. You get to choose one super power....something the ordinary mortal can't do...what is it?  

I would like to have the power to heal by touch.  But I would heal people without them knowing that I did the healing.  I wouldn’t want the power for the glory of it, but just for the satisfaction of helping others.  Corny, but true.

 

2. A 'crazy, wild-eyed, scientist pulls up in a shiny DeLorean and says he can take you anywhere in history. What do you tell him?

Take me to 1975, the year I graduated.  I want to hug my grandparents and Daddy one more time.  

3. The country or the city. Where would you rather live?

Nowhere!  I want to travel the United States in a RV…forever!  But Vicksburg, Mississippi (in the country!) will always be home.

4. Your cat starts talking to you...and everyone else. What's the first question you ask?

Why do you like me?

5. A meteor is hurtling towards the planet and it looks like the 'end is nigh'. You have about 24 hours left. What do you do?

Gather my family and have the best dinner and evening possible just being together.

 6. A famous author asks you to ghost write their next book and offers you a ton of money to do so....as long as you sign a contract to never reveal the secret. Do you do it?

Do woodpeckers like pecking wood???

7. You get the chance to host a small soiree' with five celebrities from any time period. Who do you choose?

Only one.  Jesus Christ.  Nuff said.

8. Waking up one morning, you find the world has suddenly, and mysteriously, run out of coffee. What do you do?

Replace my java with my second choice, cola.

9. The Zombie Apocalypse has arrived. You have to grab one thing and one thing only as your weapon of choice to fend off the oncoming hordes of undead. What do you choose?

A sword…a very long sword.

10. Someone gives you a million dollars on the condition that you have to give half to someone else. Who do you choose?

My husband.  What's mine is mine,and what's his is mine.  DUUHH.

11. Which cartoon....old or new...best describes your life?

Roseanne.  Ummm...that's a cartoon, right?

Now 11 Random facts about me.

1. My favorite food is oyster dressing with giblet gravy, lots of giblet gravy.
2. I sometimes swig milk from the jug.  Shhh..don't tell.
3. I’m a chocoholic but draw the line at tootsie rolls.  They are NOT chocolate. 
4. My favorite band is Linkin Park.
5. I wash my hair at bedtime and sleep with it wet.
6. I’m a lefty.
7. I like cats more than dogs.
8. I coon hunted at night and ran traps in the morning with my husband way back when. 
9. I have also hunted deer, squirrel, and turkeys, but only enjoyed squirrel hunting.
10. I am only $999.999.00 away from being a millionaire. 
11. I would like to own a houseboat to sail and live on the ocean (when I'm not RVing).

Liebster Award

Well, I'm happy to say that I was nominated for the Liebster Blog Award by Karri at My Life's A Treasure.  Now to be honest, I had never heard of this award.  So I Googled it and got tons of hits from other blogs that had received it.  I don't feel so special anymore. :(

Seriously though, the Liebster Blog Award is given to up and coming bloggers with less than 200 followers.  I would guess that it was created to boost followers for small bloggers.  Sounds like a smart idea!

Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome.

The rules for the award winners are as follows:

OK, my random facts:

   1.  At 50, I went back to school for a year and earned 2 degrees - Medical Administrative Assistant and Accounting Assistant. (But now I just blog-go figure.)
   2.  I've been in Tennessee for 4 years now and love it but miss Mississippi every day.  It will always be home.
   3.  I was the only one out of 6 siblings that never failed a grade and graduated high school at 17 years old.
   4.  I was a Casino Pit Supervisor for 5 years.
   5.  I love cats but don't own any.

Wow, that was actually hard.
