Christmas Lovebirds: The Hart Family
(Have a Hart Book 1)
By Rachelle Ayala
If you love sweet romances (PG-rating), look no further than Rachelle Ayala's Have a Hart series. The Harts are a family of San Francisco firefighters. Their family motto is: Heart comes first.
Melisa Hart has a soft spot for her brother Connor’s ex-best buddy, Rob Reed. Unfortunately, Rob slept with Connor’s girlfriend and is no longer welcome with any of the Harts.
Melisa lends her pet lovebird for a Christmas Toy Drive, but a mix-up brings her face to face with Rob and his lovebird. Melisa is drawn into a whirlwind romance with Rob and discovers he hasn’t told her the entire story.
Can two little lovebirds and Christmas cheer open Melisa’s heart to giving Rob another chance?

MY REVIEW
Melisa Hart had
always gotten her lovebird’s wings clipped. That’s why she got in a heated
discussion with an arrogant guy on the bird forum, on the pros and cons of
clipping the wings. Little did she know that the guy was actually her brother’s
best friend Rob Reed, who has been on outs with Melisa’s family for years. When
Melisa’s bird gets mixed up with Rob’s, it causes them to make amends and enjoy
each other’s company for a couple of days. But when her family catches wind of
it, they’re determined to nip it in the bud.
Although Melisa
is portrayed as a strong character, I thought she came off as shallow and weak.
But the connection between Melisa and Rob was unmistakable. Sometimes it takes
life getting in the way, for you to move aside and accept where fate takes you.
I believe that is what happened to these two. And it didn’t hurt that they had
two lovebirds pushing them along.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing Christmas Lovebirds. :) I really appreciate it, and yes Melisa could be a little stronger, but being the youngest girl in that family she tends to be a softie. Wait 'til you read Cait's story. She's so bossy!
ReplyDeleteYes, Cait's is going to be so good.
