Summer Storm (Seasons Pass Book 3)
By Susan C. Muller
It's a scorching Houston summer, and a new case for homicide detective Noah Daugherty. When the high-powered CEO of Beneficial Products, a company dedicated to the production of healthy foods, is discovered drowned in her hot tub, what appears to be either an accident or suicide, quickly escalates into something much more sinister.
As the body count rises, the link between victims becomes all too clear. Can Noah find a killer bent on vigilante justice before the storms of summer strike?
A Detective Noah Daugherty novel.

MY REVIEW
When the CEO of
Beneficial Products baby formula is found dead in her hot tub, it’s left to
Detective Noah Daugherty and partner Conner Crawford to determine if she was
murdered by her husband or if it was someone related to her work. But when
another high ranking officer from the same company dies from an apparent
accident, it is obvious to Noah that someone is out for revenge. Then a
well-known pediatrician commits suicide, and there’s no mistaking the
connection to the other two murders. As the pressure to solve the murders builds,
so does the timeline for Conner to take family leave for the birth of his first
child. And if that’s not enough going on, Noah keeps getting caught up in
trying to get a young girl out of a dangerous situation, even though he has
been ordered to stay away from her.
I am enjoying
this series very much. Noah and Conner are interesting characters to follow
along with. Each of their cases are always intriguing, as well as impossible to
identify the killer until close to the end. That makes you work extra hard
trying to solve the case along with them. That’s so much better than being able
to figure it out early.
