Ashes to Ashes (The Scribing of Ishitar)
by Carrie Shepherd
Exiled from the Sixty Realms at the end of the Second Revolution, Iykva, one of the demons sent to propagate a new mortal race, longs for equality between his people and those of the exiled angels. Believing the key to this equality lies within the blood of his enemy, he strikes war on the first born of the race of the elves.
Caught up in his parents' game to claim the ultimate power, Ishitar dismisses this mortal war as unimportant to his strategy of placing his own pawn upon his father's throne.
Will the cost that he eventually pays for his ignorance be worth what little advantage he has gained on the kings' board?

***MY HONEST REVIEW ASHES TO ASHES***
Iykva is a demon desiring to start a war with the elf
populace. Using his vampires, he
destroys the Doxie village, killing all but the young. Thus causing Prince
Iladrul to come after them.
This was a very confusing read. There were so many different
breeds, such as angels, demons, vampires, elves, pixies, fairies, dragons, and
so forth. The angels and demons had many names and titles, and to make it more
confusing, they were sometimes a male, and then later a female, and possibly
back to a male. I’m so glad that I stuck with it though, because I enjoyed the
story very much once I got into it. I also didn’t know that this was the second
book of the series. I think it would have been less confusing if I had read the
first one before this one.
