Skeletal
By Katherine Hayton
Three months before she died Daina Harrow faced a bully at school. Six weeks before she died Daina Harrow suffered an assault in the park.
One week before she died Daina Harrow stole a secret people had killed to hide.
That was ten years ago. Ten long years.
Now, her bones have been found on a building site. A coroner's inquest has been reopened. A parade of witnesses is about to start.
And Daina's here. Watching every day as her mother cries in the courtroom. Watching every day as her friends, and her enemies, and her killers lie about her on the stand. Watching, and making sure that no matter what the coroner hears, you know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. So help you God.
Warning: this book contains some bad language, and scenes of sexual assault. Recommended for ages 17+ only.

***MY HONEST REVIEW OF SKELETAL***
Daina Harrow and her alcoholic mother moved around a lot.
But Daina was smart and did her best to rise above her circumstances. Even so,
trouble seemed to follow her. When she becomes the target of the school bully,
living not only gets worse for her, but also dangerous. After getting assaulted
and raped, she finds that she has no one to trust. She can’t go home because
people are after her. With nowhere to go, all she can think about is the secret
that she never told.
What a unique and oh so intriguing story. This author draws
you in with her characters and her writing style. And leaves you with a story
you won’t soon forget. Even though it’s told in back and forth time periods,
the plot was easy to follow. I enjoyed the way you are given only as much
information as you need, when needed. This keeps me interested throughout. I
felt so much sorrow for Daina, and was pulling for things to get better for her,
even though I knew how it was going to end.
