East River Trust
By D.S. Cooper
While Detective Sean Lamont is patrolling The Lower East
Side in Manhattan, his father Lieutenant Ted Lamont is shot and killed while
patrolling Brooklyn. While Sean trusts that his dad was an honest cop, he can’t
explain the large amount of cash that is found hidden in Ted’s garage walls.
Did this have something to do with Ted’s murder? And what about Ted’s former
stakeout squad who are acting suspiciously? Even though Sean tries to trust
them, he knows that it’s up to him to solve Ted’s murder.
This murder mystery is well-written, and will keep you on
the edge of your seat. There were mysteries within mysteries that had me
guessing to the end. I like books that present a story that unfolds within true
historical events, this one being Hurricane Sandy. I’m glad the author allowed
me to see two opposing feelings that cop’s wives feel.
