***MY HONEST REVIEW OF HIRE ME OR FIRE ME***
The author, Alexander McDonald is a dreamer and a
storyteller. This is a compilation of his true-life adventures as he recalls
them. At 10 years old, his family moved from Scotland to Canada. He never liked
Canada and always compared it to his homeland. As he grew up, he held various
job titles in the hopes of making enough money to return to Scotland. While in
school, he was humiliated by a teacher, and that’s when he stopped creating
stories and writing them down. Now, 38 years later, he is ready to tell the
world of his life altering adventures and experiences.
I thoroughly enjoyed this short read. With all the colorful
comparisons and explanations, it kept me more than entertained. This author has
a smooth way of shifting gears in mid story. I would be laughing at something
he said or did, and a minute later on the verge of crying. Life has humbled him
and it shows in his writing. He states “One would be more successful than not,
by genuinely being nice to everyone, regardless of your job role”. I believe
this is the secret behind his success and contentment.
