BUCCERONI: STILL STANDING

MY REVIEW

Rich Bucceroni was not always a standup guy, as his reputation as a professor at Urban University now suggests. He grew up living his life as a thug on the streets. Wanting to get away from all that, he moved to Brooklyn, finished his schooling and secured the tenured job of a professor. It was there that he met Candy. She was going downhill fast, living the kind of life Rich had left behind. Rich helped her get her life straight, and they eventually get engaged. Just when everything seemed to be going good though, the past rears its ugly head and comes back to haunt them.

I liked the story and the characters, but it was hard getting through all the grammar errors. I understood the culture lingo, but it was hard at times to know if it was that, or bad proofreading. Otherwise, the story was entertaining. It was easy to see that this was not the first story for Rich Bucceroni. There was a lot of backstory mentioned, making me want to go back and catch up to the present. I could tell that this would not be the end because of the way it ended, not as a cliffhanger, but definitely a continuation.
