Gaviota: The Nude Beach Murders by [Joseph, Robert]
A popular ER doctor is found impaled on a SCUBA spear. A motorhome blows up, killing four Gaviota Nude Beach regulars. Clothing-optional beachgoers are beginning to feel they have a target painted on their bare backs. Who is the killer and what is his motive?

When police don’t seem all that interested, physical therapist Jake Ross and horse trainer Nikki Desjardin decide to look for answers.

MY REVIEW

Nikki loved spending time at Gaviota, known as the nude beach. She was friends with the regulars there, but close friends with Brian and Jake, as they were always there at the same time most every day. One day, Nikki happens upon Brian lying dead on the beach, with a spear sticking out of his back. This is only the beginning of the troubles that Nikki and Jake will experience, concerning the nude beach. Even though the rest of the regulars are scared and stay away, Nikki and Jake refuse to be intimidated, placing them in direct path of the killer.

This was a fast, fun read in who done it style. There were so many suspects in my mind and I couldn’t rule any of them out. Some of the characters were a bit dull, while others were over the top personalities. The plot was easy to follow though. I thought that some things were repetitious causing an unnecessary mentioning. I believe this would make a good movie plot. The way the author would drop just enough hints to keep you guessing throughout had me going around in circles trying to validate who was truly innocent.
