Angeletic Girl Book 1
By J. Barfield
Every Super Hero has their origin.
This is the story of how a girl goes from being an ordinary, bubbly, slightly goofy high school student to being the stalker of the night, crime fighting, totally boss Super Hero and worst nightmare to any and all criminals, evil doers and villains of the world.

MY REVIEW
Angela and Dee
Dee were twins but they were nothing alike. Angela was a neat, rainbows and
sunshine kind of person, whereas Dee Dee leaned toward gothic and messy. Angela’s
friends were cheerleaders and Dee Dee’s friends were bullies. One day the
girls, along with their mother were carjacked by a gang of thugs. Dee Dee sees
the leader, Snake’s face, and later with the help of her two large buddies, is
able to track him down. Seizing the opportunity, Dee Dee talks to his ‘boss’
and proposes she take over Snake’s spot. But does she really know what she is
getting herself into?
I can see where
this story is going, with the Super Hero/Villain aspect. And I can see where
this book one is setting that up, but I just couldn’t resonate with the
characters. Maybe it just wasn’t enough story to get a feel for them, since it
was very short. In reality, this just wouldn’t happen, but I assume this was
written as a preteen read, along with the superhero aspect, making it work. I
think if the story had been longer it could have given the characters more
persona. Otherwise it was a fun read to share.
