***MY HONEST REVIEW OF A DOCTOR FOR KEEPS***
After Desi’s mother dies, she goes in search of her family
roots. She remembers meeting her mother’s mother when she was young, and more
recently at her mother’s funeral, but has never met her father. When she
arrives at her grandmother’s home, she gets more than she bargained for with
Kent, the sexy hunk of a doctor next door. As she connects and grows closer to
her grandmother, she finds herself falling in love with Kent. But will she ruin
her chances with him while searching for her father?
I liked the way the author displayed the raw feelings of
both Desi and Kent. You could feel all the emotions bubbling at the surface. It
was hard to take sides when she wanted to stay in Portland to meet her father,
and Kent practically begging her to come back with him. I don’t know if I could
have chosen which way to go. I really liked the town of Heartlandia and the way
it was depicted. Grandma Gerda fit there perfectly.
